(*)Medaka-fish
Medaka are tiny fish commonly found in rivers and rice fields in Japan. Since long ago, Japanese people have been so familiar with this 3-centimeter-long fish that there is a well-known children's song about them. Recently, the medaka's living environment has been changed and their number is decreasing to the point that they are listed as an endangered species.
